This popular event will be Sunday, June 25th. Gates open at 1 pm with the polo match beginning at 3 pm. We wrap things up at about 5 pm.
Please note that this is not a group potluck (per a Greenwich town restriction).
So, bring your own blanket, low chairs and personal picnic of food and beverages for you and your party. Our alumni club will provide prepackaged snacks, ice, and bottled water. Also available this year at the grounds will be food trucks near the entrance with lunch items for purchase.
Please enter the NUMBER OF CARS (not people) in your party. Enter 1 if coming in one car. Car passes are $90 (member) and $98 (non-member) per car with a max of 8 people in the car (please note the polo club’s cancellation policy below). A week before the event you will be emailed your car pass(es).
When entering the parking area, show the car pass, and each occupant will receive a wristband for admission to the grounds.
Only 25 car passes are available for our alums so act now if you are coming.
This year we are located on the east side of the field, which is the opposite side of the polo field from our previous location. Our club will have 6 very large umbrellas grouped together (with about 30 ‘ of frontage to the polo field, as in the past) and the open space behind them for your picnic blanket, low lawn chairs, and any food/beverages you bring. Everyone should bring sunglasses and a visor/hat.
The Greenwich Polo Club field is located at 1 Hurlingham Drive, Greenwich.
Upon entry, walk over to the east side of the polo field, on the opposite side from the entrance. Our umbrellas are between the center and north end of the field.
Cancellation/Postponement Policy
The match will take place unless cancelled or postponed by the Greenwich Polo Club. This is an infrequent occurrence. In case of inclement weather the night before or day of the event, please check the polo club website (https://www.greenwichpoloclub.com/) homepage's top header for cancellation or time change notifications. If there is no notice, the Sunday match is currently as scheduled. If cancelled, the polo club permits our alumni club to reschedule for any match in the upcoming 12 months; our club will notify you of the rescheduled date. There are no refunds.
