Attend Zoom talk and learn about:

  • Flying is the last frontier for decarbonisation, arguably the hardest-to-abate part of the economy - and we all love to fly.
  • The moral conundrum: should we change our behaviour in recognition of the fact that, hour for hour, dollar for dollar, aviation is one of the most damaging things we can do for the planet?
  • A change-averse behemoth: why has the aviation industry been so slow to develop the technologies needed to decarbonise?
  • The great lottery: because there is no single obvious route to decarbonisation, a plethora of different technologies are now under development to help aviation meet its net-zero-by 2050 commitment. Christopher will take you through these technologies before asking: which will win?

After the talk, we will conduct a moderated Q&A to answer your questions.
